Why Marriage God's Way Really Matters
There has been much talk and debate in recent years on the subject of same-sex marriages. The issue has appeared on ballots in several states, where it has always been rejected by a majority of voters. Last week, the people of North Carolina passed a law, banning same-sex marriage in the state. This ban was overwhelming passed by a 61% to 39% margin.
This past week, I have heard on radio and news talk programs, how a number of people have evolved in their position on this hotly contested issue. This so-called “evolution” has found those who once opposed the issue, due to their religious faith, to now be accepting of it. However, as Christians, we must understand, that more than an evolution, this indicates an erosion. (Read More)

What or Who Are You Looking for in a Church?
As people today go about the task of looking for a church to attend, they might be looking for any number of different things. Some may be looking for an exciting praise band. Others may be looking for programs such as drug and alcohol recovery, grief counseling, or help in their marriage. Some might be looking for recreational activities, and still others, a spouse. There are many churches out there that can offer all of these and more. In an attempt to market the church to the world, all sorts of things have been offered to attract attendees. Yet, sadly, there is One who is sometimes forgotten as THE attraction: Jesus Christ.
 Who or what are you looking for? We do not have a praise band. Our music is a cappella, per instruction found in the New Testament (Col. 3:16; Eph. 5:19). We are not experts in drug and alcohol recovery; nor are we licensed marriage counselors. However, we can show you instruction in God's word that can help you in all of these areas and more. We are not a dating service, but you just might find some new friends. What we can and do offer is the One who can dramatically change your life: Jesus Christ.
Jesus said, "And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself" (John 12:32). Our Saviour is clear in these words. He is to be the great attraction! Therefore, it is Jesus we preach. As the Apostle Paul wrote, "But we preach Christ cruficied…" (1 Cor. 1:23a).
